What is a Personal Data Store?
A personal data store (PDS), vault or data locker is a service to let an individual store, manage and deploy their key personal data in a highly secure and structured way. It lets you keep your own data and also to acquire and reuse proofs of claims or of relationships and qualifications (such as bank account, verified address, driving licence or passport).
Keeping your personal data safe
To get things done online – whether business, travel, public services, admin and leisure – you need to connect with other organisations and services. But today you end up having to give them your personal data, all too often by clicking terms and conditions you wouldn’t like if you understood, wouldn’t understand if you read, and therefore haven’t actually read (very few of us do). That’s why we’re all, regardless of age or profile, somewhere between depressed and in denial about what happens to our personal data “out there”.
Mydex PDS is a highly secure service
The PDS offers both technical and legal protection to your personal data. It’s highly secure service to which you and you alone have the key. Mydex cannot see your personal data. And if you connect to an organisation to get something you share only what’s necessary for the task in hand. And you share it on terms that suit and protect you. (We do encourage everyone to read our terms and conditions, even though our own research shows that very few people do).
